Amir's attempt to get rid of Hassan is selfish, heartbreaking, and disgusting. In the end all he does is hurt his father and potentially his pride. After his father had told him theft is the only sin, Amir decided to put Hassan in the sinned section of Baba's mind. But, what happens shock Amir. Baba forgives Hassan and ends up making Amir look stupid to the reader, because his father is more understanding of Hassan than Amir ~Cassie
Well, his act is understandable, but yet cruel. He was young, and his sin was too threatening and huge for him to face by himself. However, because he was young, his sin might be forgiven easily. If he told the fact to Baba, he might be disappointed, but wouldn’t punish Amir for that.
